Shake, Rattle, and Roll
So first on a good note, I GOT A JOB!! I am employed at Books A Million. We just opened a new store in the area at the mall.
Last week it was all about getting the store ready for opening day, I worked about 42 hours in 3 days! Thankfully it is not normally like that!

SNOW!! SNOW!! SNOW!!
Well I am spending some time in Ohio to help out and last night and today we are getting snow. I don’t mean a couple inches, more like 10-12 inches. To top it off they already had approximately 6 inches from before.
The news said we are getting approximately 1-2 inches every hour.

Chattahotchee River (Columbus, GA)
I go to spend the last week in Columbus, GA. My Husband had to be in the area for work. While we were there I spent everyday with the dogs walking on the Chattahotchee River Walk. The River Walk is a 15 mile scenic trail that runs right along the river. The Chattahotchee River is what separates Georgia and Alabama.

First I want to apologize for not writing lately. I have been busy getting settled in the new house and job hunting. So far I have been unsuccessful on the job part!

Fun in Virginia
We are officially all moved in, and actually have almost everything unpacked! There are still a few things to move around and I think all the rooms will be set up! Hopefully I will be able to post some pictures soon.
So far we are liking Virginia. We found a berry farm in our area where you can go and pick fresh berries for fairly inexpensive. We have had fun with that getting blackberries...

All moved in!!
Maybe not all the way, but the stuff is here!!
The truck came with all of our stuff on Saturday after a little bit of confusion, but it all worked out! Now my kitchen has boxes as well as every other room of the house. I am slowly unpacking them each day.
So far my Husband and I are enjoying VA. Part of me really misses my old job!! But I am getting used to the area and enjoying the laid...
Update on the move!
So the movers came yesterday to the house in NC. They packed up everything and put it in there truck for the journey to Virginia. Hopefully we will get to see our stuff soon. They haven’t really ogiven us a date. After they left I picked up the dogs and headed to the new place. I was going to stay in NC but realized I didnt have a bed, pillows, blankets let alone anywhere to sit!

Today in recognition of my last day of work, my coworkers had a lunch for me.
I know most (if any) who were in attendance will not read this but I hope they know how truly thankful I am to have met them, worked with them, and learned from them. I will truly miss everyone I have worked with over the last 4 years!!

4 Years Yesterday!
I had every intention of posting this yesterday (June 1) but…here it is a day later.

Update!
So my Husband has been at his new job for almost 3 weeks now! He says he really likes it! We are slowly getting smaller stuff moved in. We will get all of our furniture and bigger stuff that we can’t drive up moved on June 14.
My last day at my current job is June 11. (YIKES!!) There will be more on that later. Let’s just say it hasn’t been very easy telling people I am...
Move Update
This post probably should have come sooner, but we got the keys and did the walk through of the house on Saturday and Sunday. My Husband is moved in with the necessities for the time being. It was pretty much all we could fit in our 2 cars. In the mean time I am here still in NC working and getting more stuff together so more stuff can get taken up there next weekend when he comes home! Husbands First Day!!
Today is my Husbands first day on the new job! I hope he has a great day!
House!
Things are slowly coming together for the move to Virginia. First we found a house (to rent)!! We are very excited about the new place!!
It has a big back yard, 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a wood burning stove and a garage. I have posted some pictures below.
We signed the lease last week!
Now we just need to figure out the process of getting all of our stuff moved and we will be good to...

Mitzi and Edward
We made a trip to Virginia yesterday. We managed to get a lot accomplished in preparation for our move.
It was a VERY long day, but it was fun. Mitzi and Edward also got to come along and we took some pictures of them being cute!

So as most of our friends and family know my husband has been offered a new job! He has also chosen to accept this new job!! YAY!!
This means we will be moving to Virginia!
He starts around Mid-May and I will be moving up around Mid-June or so. ( My last day at my current job is June 11)

Signs that Spring is Here!
Each year these flowers bloom. What is great though is they have been here since before I even lived at this location and I do not have to do anything to help them grow!
For me it is always a sign when they bloom that spring is here! Not only though are they pretty, but they give off a wonderful scent as you are walking out the door!

Grandpa in the Navy
Here is a picture of my Grandpa when he was in the Navy. At his Military Funeral they did a 21 Gun Solute and I was fortunate enough to be able to get one of the blanks. So I made a shadow box which includes the blank, his picture, and few other small details.

Happy Veterans Day!
The idea of Veterans Day seems so much more important now than it ever used to. I have close friends and family who are currently serving overseas or have already. My Grandfather was also a veteran who served in the Navy.
