Drive to Cape May, New Jersey-The drive up Part 2.

After going over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge the rest of the trip up wasn’t really all that exciting until the very end we had an exciting and unexpected twist to the trip.
First a little background.
We own a Garmin so we just put the address in and follow it, and one cool feature is when you get to a body of water (like the Chesapeake Bay) it shows the route over the water that you are taking. So when we get to to Delaware and they show on our Garmin that we are crossing another body of water (the Delaware) we though it was a cool end to the drive up.
So we get to that point, and realize there is no bridge and that we have to take a ferry across the Delaware to get to Cape May, New Jersey.
Thankfully, we made it just in time to board the ferry and did not have to wait very long. It could have been really bad if we had to wait as we would have been late for the rehearsal!
It was a huge surprise that we would have to take the ferry in the first place, but the fact it was something me or the husband had never done (and may never get the chance to again) it was worth it!
Below are a couple of pictures taken while on the ferry it was so beautiful to look out over the water!
This first one is us driving onto the ferry!

The next one is out over the water while we were on the ferry with a lighthouse.

There are many more pictures located at the following link of our ferry ride. Enjoy!
