4 Years Yesterday!
I had every intention of posting this yesterday (June 1) but…here it is a day later.
So yesterday marked 4 years at my current job!! I can’t believe it to be honest. It went by so fast!! Unfortunately this will be my last milestone.
In 10 days I will be leaving!! I can’t believe it’s only 10 days, it has gone by really quick.
It almost feels like yesterday when I told all of my co-workers that I would be leaving. I will never forget the sick feeling I had in my stomach for the 2 days before that day. Not to mention the emotions.
I have to admit. If you ask me I am one of those people that will tell you I love my job. Yes I may hate certain times or have had really bad days. But Who Hasn’t?? Overall I have really loved my job and what I do!
The people I have had the opportunity to work with and meet has been great! I have learned so much from them I don’t even know where to start.
There is one thing I will always remember being told from a coworker when I was contemplating going to graduate school (which I still plan to do!!).
He told me “You will learn more in our department meeting than in any graduate school class.” (or some variation of that)
Now I admit I was pretty skeptical seeing as it was one of my first days, BUT he was right even a class that is directly related to the department I work in didn’t touch completely on what I have learned while working here!!
I am not sure why but I have never forgotten that.
